Thanksgiving!!

So this is our food for Thanksgiving:

Sweet Potato Casserole, Rolls, Green Bean Casserole, Honey Baked Turkey Breast and Pecan Pie
Not pictured: Deviled Eggs, Broccoli Slaw and Chocolate Cakes.

I decided to be proactive for our first Thanksgiving. I always remember Thanksgiving as this crazy day of cooking, running late, and family.

I'd like to eliminate the running late portion as much as I can. So I'm preparing as much as I can beforehand. The dishes aren't quite done, as they still need to bake, but they're ready! :) I even have the dressing ready for the slaw done. I'm super excited to eat, relax and watch Bond movies all day. :) I'm glad my husband is as much of a Bond fan as I am. And Thanksgiving and Bond just go together.

More food shots:

And finally the glorious Honey Baked Turkey Breast. Sooo yummy! I'm super excited! :D

Yay Thanksgiving!

I'll re-do my long post when I'm up to it later. It was a good post. It's just going to take a while to post it all again.

In the mean time, Happy Thanksgiving y'all! :)

Stupid technology

So... I had a really long post and then when adding a picture the entire thing erased... and it auto saved on me and lost everything. AAH.

And now I really don't feel like writing everything again... So...

Here is a Westie puppy:

We plan on getting one after Cairo. :)

The Married Life

Marriage is FANTASTIC!

And as my friend Rachel used in her blog, I have a new last name.

Casey Bahr. I like it. It sounds like Candy Bar. :) Or as my friend Riley keeps calling me, Casey Bear. He even wrote in our letter Dear Casey Bear and Drew Bear... :) I love that kid. He's so great.

So the sealing and reception were fantastic. I am so incredibly happy that everything went PERFECTLY.

And a public thank you to: my parents (Phyllis and Allen), my siblings (Sarah, Cam, Ale, Chris), Rachel Augustus, Jillian Mather, Drew's family (Mindy, Dan, Ruth, Gerry), Grandmother, the various aunts/uncles/cousins and family, and to all of my friends.

Just... thank you. It made everything wonderful.

So I won't be getting my pictures until probably right before thanksgiving, but here is a preview of the day from pictures that my mom and Sarah were able to take. Enjoy! :)

Aunt Jackie, Me, Drew and Uncle Dick (he was our Sealer)

This Friday

I'm getting married.

I know that it's the only thing I've really been posting about... but it's this week!

Which means that in addition to taking a test and 2 quizzes this week, I'll also be seeing my mom and dad, my brother and sister-in-law, Drew's family and it's really going to hit.

Because right now Drew and I are doing wedding stuff yes, like we worked on making favors last night (we weren't very successful) and I am almost completely moved into our apartment! All I have in my current apartment is my bedding, a change of clothes for a week, my school books and my bathroom items.

But everything else is not only in Drew and my apartment, but it's actually like in the drawers or hung up in the closet or packed away in the closet.

So... I'm practically moved in. And by the end of this week I'll have a new roommate and something tells me that he's not going to move out. :P
So I'm really looking forward to it. And I officially start my new life on friday.

Wow, this friday.

I can't wait. :)

The countdown begins...

Today it is 11 days until we get married.

YAAAY!!! :)))))))

I'm SO excited! Like... you have no idea.

We were sitting and talking and we realized that this next Friday, Saturday and Sunday are our last of those days as single people.

Holy cow!
(I thought the picture was funny :) )

Life has been so hectic. It's midterms and Drew and I are both swamped. And yet we still find time to just be with one another and be goofy. It's been so great the past two weeks. We've been bonding like we never have before. I am so glad to have found my best friend and I'm even more grateful that I'm marrying him. I have truly been blessed to have him in my life.

It's nice to know that I have found someone that loves me for me. And I adore him so much. We have a great love. :)

(This pretty much sums us up)

We've both come to the point where we want to just get married tomorrow. We don't want to have to deal with the next 10 days (mainly because it's filled with a zillion tests and midterms...yay! :( )

But I get to see my mom in a week, which is really nice. I've missed her and it'll be great to see her and my dad even if that week I will probably still have stuff to catch up on. Boo.

These are all of the things that are due for me in the next 10 days: a paper for geography, an exam for geography, a quiz for geography, a paper for marriage and family life, a test for marriage and family life, an exam for floral design, an ID quiz for floral design, my major paper for Political Economy of the Middle East and arabic homework on top of that.

And that's just me. That doesn't even include all of the work for Drew. Oh, and one of the classes I TA for just finished a test so I'll be grading those as well. >.<

Yay college life. At least I get married in 10 days. :)

Less than one month

Oh boy.

Two days ago Drew and I passed one month until we get married. I have no idea where the time went!

Additionally I get married 4 weeks from today.

I hope that the weather is nice, it's playing this cat and mouse game with me right now. It's FREEZING in the mornings but then absolutely lovely and HOT in the afternoons.

Seriously, I got a sunburn today. I haven't burned since Galilee...in JULY. I guess it's the thin atmosphere and the more direct sunlight. Boo.

So we've finally gotten to the point where we're getting the final last minute details done of our wedding. It's nice to know that the major stuff has been taken care of finally.

However, my big dilemma at the moment is what shoes am I going to get?

Backtrack, I'm normally not the type of girl who obsesses over shoes. I like them, but I'm super-picky about getting them and once I buy them, I wear them forever. So... the wedding day should warrant some previously researched and nice shoes right?

Well, over the summer I found this little gem and fell in love:

However, once I got back from Israel I was dismayed to find that they are being discontinued and therefore they only had weird sizes...i.e. they don't have mine.

:(

So then I was on the search for more yellow shoes. It is SUPER hard to find good yellow shoes. Especially since as much as I love the pastel yellow above, I prefer mustard. The bright yellow is too yellow for me. So I'm searching and searching and searching and I find this:

Oh my, they're PERFECT! They have the cute chunky heel that I love, they're a beautiful mustard leather, they have a cute little checkered design and a bow. AND they're closed toe which is useful for an October wedding.

Then I checked the price. $99.98.

Eep. I have NEVER paid that much for a pair of shoes before. I'm agonizing over it. I know I should go with something cheaper, but I LOVE them. And I know that I would wear these until there were holes in them. Even then I'd probably just get them resoled.

I've been trying to find them cheaper but apparently they're SUPER popular right now. They sold out of anthropologie within the first 48 hours.

So I'm debating whether or not to wait (I don't have much time) or just resign myself to another pair of shoes.

*sigh* We'll see!

In other news, Drew and I are FINALLY going to a football game on saturday. Huzzah! We've never been to a BYU game. We should probably remedy that...

Thank goodness it's the weekend.

Wedding things

So Saturday was spent in pursuit of trying to get all things wedding organized.
...

Why can't I just elope? It's such a HUGE stress figuring out the cake, flowers, invitations, photography, the location and everyone making sure that everything is on time.

*sigh* I know that it'll be worth it. And I'm super excited to marry Drew.

Speaking of wedding things, here is our photo for our invitations!

It came out really well. :)

But yeah... I'm stressed. 32 Days! That's it! Holy cow!

Then we'll get married here:

Have our reception here:
The white willow!
coming in from the front entrance
entryway!
entry room and guestbook signing table
where the photo of us and she slideshow are displayed
going from the entry rooms into the banquet area
view of the banquet area
View of the banquet area
The view from the back entrance to the Garden
More of the garden...
Koi pond! (They won't be happy come October...)
More of the garden

I'm doing a small cake and cupcakes. The cake is kinda a topsy turvy cake with a Dr. Seuss theme. :)))
The cupcakes will look like this:

My flowers are:
Daisy Mums
Blue Dendrobian Orchids and...
Sunflowers!!! :) (of course for anyone who knows me...)

So yeah... there are some things from my wedding coming up. Woo!!

In other news, insomnia = bad before a school day.

Oh well, onwards!!!

Our Apartment!!!

So... Drew has finally moved into our apartment!

I'm so excited! We finished cleaning up the living room and the kitchen and so here are some pictures. We're getting the bed this weekend! :)))

Only 42 more days until we get married!
