So on one of our last weekends we went to Ajloun in the north and visited the castle there along with a few other random sites. It was actually quite rainy and oh man, GREEN! It was fun!
Shocking, but it FINALLY got cold in Amman/Jordan. We had heard about how cold things were last year and then this year was a record WARM winter. Go figure.
Then we went to this place called Mar Elias which is one of the possible sites where Elijah was born. It was neat and there were mosaics.
Overall, it was a good, fun, cheap, quick trip out of Amman towards the end of the semester. We were going to try and get into a mosque, but we couldn't so we just went home. It was more fun than I'm making it seem, but once you've seen a few ruins things kinda have the same descriptions...
