Paris! Day one

So Drew and I got to Paris and oh man, it was amazing. Although we got in to the airport 45 minutes early which wasn't the best. We had to wait a bit for our bags and customs and by the time we took the hour long train ride from the airport to our hotel, it was only 8:30 am. So we had seen that we had passed a couple of cafes on the way to our hotel from the metro station so we decided to eat at one. This is what we got:
A croissant, 2 baguettes, hot chocolate and (not pictured) a glass of fresh squeezed orange juice.

So we shared that for about 6 euros and then still on our way to the metro station we saw this:

A patisserie! Everything looked amazing but everyone's told me to try macarons in Paris. We got one and it was HUGE. The normal ones I've seen are like the size of a quarter, but this one was the size of like a baseball! We got chocolate. It was delicious.

So we weren't sure what we were going to do that day since we were really tired and wanted to get our things before we set out to explore the city. We already had our metro passes and we just needed our museum pass. We tried like 3 or 4 metro stations (which everyone said you could get them) and they were all out, so we decided to go to a museum. We ended up going to the MuseĆ© de Orsay.

There were so many people in the line! But it was made awesome by the fact that there was a group of players playing jazz and other random music.

Here's a picture of the inside:

Some cool pictures:

The Louvre!

Here are the musicians!:

After that we were so tired that we just went back to our hotel and crashed. Yay Jetlag! But we needed to get up early the next day for Versailles so it worked out in the end.
