On the 15th, a small group of us went with Dil and LB to Iraq El-Amir. It's this really neat ruins that go back to the 2nd century B.C. Supposedly it was under part of the territory of Reuben.
Either way it was really cool to see!
My friends Pat (on the bottom) and Lindsay (on top)
View of the whole place
They had some pretty cool carvings. This is of a female lioness and her cub
On our way to the women's craft village and some caves, we saw these women and children. They were super nice and let me take a picture of them. It was so great!
It was a beautiful view
It was cool because Lucy and Lindsay were walking and these women stopped them and offered them candy and figs and they got to speak to them for a bit. I was sneaky and got a picture. :)
After this we went up to some caves.
Super cool!
And we weren't the only ones in the caves!!!
Christina coming down from climbing up a bit.
Drew on top of the cave
After this we went to the women's crafts village and saw some of what they made. It was really neat and we liked seeing what they had for calligraphy and paper.
After this we headed back to Amman. It was another fun trip that was super cheap since everything was free but the transportation! That's the way to see Jordan...on the cheap!
