Day Three: Rome

So on our last day of Rome, we headed for the Baths of Caracalla first. We figured that they'd be the hardest to go and visit since they were further out than most of the other attractions. And we were right. It took us an hour to get there and that meant that we got lost a few times. We didn't mind (at the time), as we had been out late the night before and it was someplace that my mom had raved about. Apparently they had only just begun to excavate the place when she was living in Italy. So we went and it was rather neat.

You can kinda tell from the size of the people in my shot, but this place is HUGE. It's kinda crazy to think that it was a bathhouse! It could hold around 2,000 people comfortably! Either way, worth the trek.

However, much to our dismay, we ended up at the Colosseum and it was 4:30 pm...and they had already closed the gates! Apparently in Winter they close an hour before official "sunset!" Boo... So we explored around the ruins we could see.

It was a great way to end the day and our trip to Rome!!!!
