So I never meant to get this far behind in posting, but life has exploded. So... here are the pics from Day 2 in Rome.
First stop: The Vatican!

And I may or may not have snuck a few pics of the beautiful Sistine Chapel. It's gorgeous!
And then because we were crazy we decided to climb all the way to the top of the basilica to look down. The view was beautiful!
We walked down and explored inside. We had to hurry since it was the Saturday before Christmas. Thank goodness we didn't go on Sunday, it would have been PACKED.
We then decided that we weren't done exploring and so we hopped on a bus and headed over to the Spanish Steps. It was great to see the Christmas tree and all of the different shops. Lets just say that I felt very poor while passing by some of those shops. And people kept coming out of them LOADED with bags.
We of course had to take the traditional kiss on the steps. :)
