So April of last year, as a wedding present to my friend Hannah, I offered to do her flowers for her wedding. She's a friend that I made in Georgia back in 2008 and was a bridesmaid in my own wedding. I was happy to oblige! She and I had visited a few of the bridal shows in Utah, both for my wedding and for friends previously. This time we were able to go for her! Luckily we found a few bouquets that ended up serving as the inspiration for her flowers. Her colors were very bright and happy, just like Hannah!
So, the inspiration:
The final product ended up changing a bit as the process went. Originally I was going to do a fake bouquet/boutonniere for her bridal shots and then maybe add a few fresh flowers. I ended up doing the fake bouquet, but I had gotten such a good deal, that I was able to do fresh ones as well for her wedding day. I was impressed that I was able to find so many flowers that matched her colors since she picked Orange and Turquoise! (Very happy and very Hannah colors!)
It was a fun project, and one that I'll likely not repeat entirely on my own again (I'd still be willing to help out). The overall end result was beautiful and I'll let the pictures do the talking.
And the fresh flowers from the actual day of the wedding:
I was so happy with how they turned out, and more importantly SHE was happy! Overall, it was a great experience and I'm glad to have been a part of her special day!
